All New Design
Our adaptor is now made from Billet 6061 Aircraft Grade Aluminium and features a one piece spigot design.
We also have a new hub which has a more defined cut in/out and does not run as much when disengaged as our old hub.
Well you have all been waiting for this. This IS the ultimate in keeping your TD42 Cool, designed and tested here in Australia using only the highest quality parts.
If you want to keep your TD42 cool, look no further, perfect for these long hill climbs, or when towing your camper/caravan.
Suits all TD42 Engines both GQ and GU.
This fan and hub is much larger than any Nissan fan and out performs all of the Nissan units by up to and over 10 deg (based on averages after testing on many vehicles with varying fan/hub configurations including the G35 Fans)
The adaptor has been designed and engineered from the ground up with a true centre spigot to keep it all perfectly lined up and spinning true.
The fan is a Genuine Mitsubishi Fan, NOT an Aftermarket cheap quality unit that will over flex and hit your shroud or radiator. (yes we could give you a cheap fan, but we don't want to take this risk, do you?)
The Viscous Hub is the Highest quality Aftermarket unit, manufactured by a company with over 45 locations in almost 20 countries, so rest assured your getting a quality product, again - this is no cheap Chinese product.
Forget adding oil to your current setup, that only makes the fan engage all the time, it drags power away from the engine and still doesn't help anywhere near enough, even with the G35 fan. Trust us, we have tried. :) With this setup you can really hear when the fan engages and disengages so you know its working well.
This kit also includes a Dayco D79A Thermostat and a Genuine Nissan Thermostat housing gasket. The Dayco D79A Thermostat fully opens slightly later than the standard Nissan Thermostat but it also blocks the bypass hole, which stops the constant hot water circulating and allows the thermostat to properly work. From the testing we have found it gives the engine a more consistent water temp at the same time as allowing the radiator to cool the water more efficiently .
NOTE: This will only work with a stock size radiator, IE 2 core on GQ and 1 core on GU, any thicker upgraded radiators like 3 core on GQ or 2 core on GU or custom made larger radiators may cause this fan to foul on the shroud or the radiator itself. We will not be liable if you damage your shroud or radiator after fitting this fan and not checking your fan clearances are safe.
If you have a GU ZD30 to TD42 converion done on your Patrol and you have kept the ZD30 Automatic Crossmember, you will not have the correct clearance to run this fan.

TD42 cooling upgrade kit
I am very pleased with the product and the price. Extremely easy to install, the kit is well worth the money
A vast improvement
After having towed a fully loaded 21ft caravan with a fully loaded GU station wagon with 6 people in it (all up 6 tonne), as well as towing a car trailer with my Falcon turbo to Heathcote from Gippsland (all up 5.5 tonne), I noticed on some hills in NSW, as well as some hills leading to Heathcote VIC, the trusty TD liked to climb up towards the 3/4 point or more on the temp guage. Just before this Queens birthday weekend before another Heathcote Drag meet, I fitted this kit to mine, and was pretty chuffed to not see the gauge move any higher than just before the halfway point! Can definitely recommend if you feel comfortable with splashing that kind of coin One thing I'd recommend doing if your gu is a factory setup like mine, remove the belts and slide both the alternator and power steering pump over towards the guards when installing. The instructions don't tell ya that
Awesome bit of kit. Moves alot of air.
My poor kettle was suffering overheating and easily getting to 105c when putting her under load, even on a mild day outside. I fitted the QIKAZZ fan and Dayco Thermostat and I now have to try my hardest to even get it to 95c on a HOT day. I've seen easily 15c cooler running temps under load. Very happy with the results. Cheers to Aaron for his help and advice.
