Upgraded Performance Valve Spring Kit for BMW N57 / B57 3.0 Diesel Engines
A complete set of uprated performance valve springs designed for BMW's 6-cylinder 3.0 litre N57 and B57 diesel engines. Standard valve springs are one of the first limiting factors once you push a modified diesel beyond its factory operating window — higher boost, more fuel and a raised rev ceiling all increase the load the spring has to control.
Why upgrade your valve springs?
At elevated RPM or with aggressive camshaft profiles, factory springs can allow valve float and valve bounce, where the valve loses contact with the cam and no longer seals properly. Beyond the immediate power loss, this risks valve-to-piston contact and severe engine damage. These springs deliver substantially higher seat and open pressures to keep the valvetrain under control.
They are an essential upgrade for any built N57 or B57 running performance camshafts, a raised rev limit, or significantly increased boost pressure.

Important Notes
- Installation requires removal of the camshafts and specialist valve spring compression tooling. This is a workshop-level job — professional installation is strongly recommended.
- Suits N57 and B57 engines only. This kit does not fit the earlier M57 engine.
